you should be here

everytime i walk in the rain, 
i always walk and i feel my pain, 
as it was the time when god came calling 
and took you away, 

and as I lay in my bed, 
I look at  the  pillow where you once  lay your head, 
and wish it was me and not you that was dead, 

why did god take you 
when it was not your time, 
i am older and it should have been mine, 
and i am now left all alone, 
as god called you to his mighty home, 
you should be here in our own home
and not in heaven near gods thrown 

when i close my eyes at night, 
i cant sleep as i miss you by my side, 
as your not here and you have gone, 
to where everyone says its gods home, 

i am older and more grey , 
should have been me and you should have stayed, 
as your time should be here on this old earth, 
and not taking away from all my love, 
as we were to watch each other grow old and show each other everlasting love, 

we should have had eternal love, 
i was there when you gave birth, 
we raised our kids and hope they do grow old, 
and not took away before our love unfolds,
as i said we should be together and have grown old, 

for each day that passes i do cry, 
as my love for you will never die, 
cant wait till we meet once again, 
and hope its on the other end, 

for i stand at the grave and say goodbye, 
for my love it will never die,
and hope soon my time will come, 
to be in heaven with my number one,
