You Say You Love Me

You say you love me
You bring me flowers
You serve me wine
You take my hand
And pull me close
As we move to the sweet melody
I want to believe
That we are one
As you kiss my lips
And hug me tight
Such tender words
Whispered so softly
I search your eyes
As my tears fall slowly
Where is the truth
Of what you’ve done
It hurts so deeply
All the others
The faceless ones
Surrounding us
You say you love me……
