You Say: the Keys
A story about a poet, his girlfriend and their pretty complicated relationship (2)
Kurtistani; aab, cddceec, ffb
You say increasingly that our life
together gets too odd, that life is rife
with locks and closed doors but lacking keys.
You're right, my dear, here's the exact
same copy of the keys I have: "The Brook"
by Tennyson, the typo in the book
of destinies, the tip how to attract
men in a women's magazine, the meth,
the Voynich manuscript, the author's death...
I'm kidding, sweet. It's not like that, in fact.
There are three master keys to pick the hearts
of men: an afternoon Hofbrau Schwarz,
a healthy home-cooked meal and your kiss.
