You Sacrifice Your Lives

You run in while others run out
You take the hit for the rest of us
Sacrificing your everything
Putting your flesh on the line of duty every day

You take on the trouble the rest of us avoid
You run toward while we are running away
Sacrificing your family and your life
Putting yourself on the line of duty without thought of it.

You are my heroes
You are the ones who keep me feeling safe and confident
That the world is full of the goodness of the selfless.
Thank you policemen, firemen, doctors and nurses.

I admire you greatly.
I am intrigued and awed by you.
Thank you every single moment of every day.
You are all in my prayers.

I also think of 911 in America when the firemen and policemen kept running in to help as others were escaping, running out.
