You Ran Away

would his life be the same
if he just slept away
you should've seen his face in the eyes of sorrow
it looked like there was no tomorrow
you could've been there for him
instead, the lights are turning dim
you would've held his broken heart
but you ran like a shooting dart
now your taking him from the rope
he is just hanging there, with no hope
