You Or Me

I'm empty
A bucket without water
A button without thread
Might as well be dead
I have nothing more to give
Live?
Sure, but what's the sense if you feel nothing?
I'm listless
I've run out
I gave out too much
Got nothing in return
Don't feel like licking my burns
It's of the highest degree
Let it consume me
Hate being the martyr
But how long must I suffer?!?!
I'm tired of feeling if I only get pushed back
In the fire
I go there every time for you willingly
But I tire
I tire of taking the pain for you
There's a heart in here too
And it hurts just as much as yours
I can't duct tape your little pieces and hold them together anymore
I can't do it!
I'm sorry, but even I have a limit
While holding you
I break
Yet I continue to
May I let go?
No?
Oh...

Dramatic verse, indeed! I'm impressed by your clever analogies... especially "I can't duct tape your little pieces and hold them together anymore"... it encapsulates how fragile it all was if you're resorting to duct tape for restoration! Though I guess Mythbuster's did prove you could make a working sailboat out of duct tape (apologies for going off topic). One of you're more hard-hitting and emotional pieces, Caleah. I like the rawness of it.

Hahahah! I understand what it's like to drift off topic, and in your defense it IS a good point and good show. ;) Definitely felt this one writing it, thank you. :)
