You Never Knew Me

You never knew me
for who I really was
you saw me at my weak point
You never knew
how strong I was
in my loves and hates
You never saw my talent
they're coming back stronger now
You never saw my true outer beauty
My spirit was dying
the effort was dying
living a lie
and dying on the inside

This will be my second make over
but only this time it will be complete
my appearance
my friends
my god
my likes and dislikes
my inner most power
and the fight I have
to stand up for what I believe in
No one's gonna tear me down this time

Wonderful creative writing today Corinne. I will be back soon to read more if the gremlins in PoetrySoup will permit. Love, Carol
