You Mean More To Me Than Anyone - Mty

Who listens to me when I'm down
Knows when my smile masks a frown

Who sticks with me through thick and thin
No matter the trouble I find myself in

Who is a perpetual ray of sunshine, never complains
Be winter's cold unbearable, preceding torrential rains

Who daily anticipates my every need
Fulfilling my desires, in both word and deed

You, the light of my life, my angelic wife
You whom I love here on Earth, and in the Afterlife

I had to laugh that you find yourself "into trouble" - for I knew that is exactly right! Ha! Your wife sounds amazing, my friend.

Yup! … In trouble … my address: The Doghouse... And, yes, my wife is utterly amazing. The most amazing thing perhaps is that she married me. (Whatever was she thinking?!) … Best wishes, Gershon

Another one of your fascinating facets, my dear friend, your sentimental side shines radiantly in this beautiful poem, Gershon. A wondrous tribute to your lovely wife. Best wishes for a win and my warmest wishes to you.. ~Susan

Susan, your words are music to my ears, as always. And perhaps you were surprised that I can be sentimental at times, as usually I am 'sedimental.' ~ Old stick-in-the-mud in Chicago, gw

A lovely write, Gershon! Does your wife enjoy poetry? My husband almost never understands mine or doesn’t make an attempt. I joke with him, he only gets roses are red, violets are blue type poems :)

Kim, your comment has me howling. My wife is soooo uninterested in my efforts. I think she regards me as a curiosity from the Stone Age. Of course, she thinks Russian poetry is great. (She's from Ukraine)… One of my four kids, my youngest son, is occasionally moved by one of my poems. ~ The Rodney Dangerfield of Chicago poetry
