You May Think That I Am Dreaming

One-half of me seems right
    the other half feels wrong
  The next half is unsure
the fourth just sings a song

  We live in troubled times
    the world is upside down
  It happens when both poles
trade their smiles for two frowns

You may think that I am dreaming
but I've seen these words before
I recall that they were written
    by the world's first troubador

Poet- Musician and ballad singer mainly sang of love in mediaeval times. ( I had to look this up, Gershon ) Thank you for encouraging me to use my very pale grey matter. More change, more of the same.

Alas, the Emperor has no Nose and cannot smell the fetid stench he resides in.

We are fragmented.... the products of fragmented times. Definitely we pass through troubled times and our plight has been prophesied by bards much earlier. Hope my reading of your philosophical poem is sensible.
