You Make Me Smile

You make me smile
Even over miles
I close my eyes
My heart takes rise
I dream of you
Though the sky is blue
I adore your face
And the case you state
Yet I struggle to believe
Such a gift for me?
So much, I melt
But now you’ve knelt
Are you sure?
Alone no more?
Now pull me close
It’s me you chose
How to understand
I get to have this man
I’ve waited so long
Tried to be strong
Emotional chaos
My expectations way off
Do dreams come true?
Can I really be with you?
God won’t let us settle
We’re better together
He knew it was time
For you to be mine
He opened the doors
And now I am yours
