You Make Me A Flower

“I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true
In all the world you'll never find
A love as true as mine”
(Quoted lines from I cross my heart by George Strait)
When my enticed eyes look at you
My heart pulsates with the cadence new
My soul absorbs your essence completely
Suffusing my senses with the feeling of glee.

“As I stand alone on this moon full night
For the first time I feel alone in life”
(Quoted lines from I’m ready for love by Martha Reeves)
Your alluring footprints I long to follow
To embrace you all the way I’ll go
When I feel empty and alone, I stand
At the edge of dark horizon in wasteland
You raise for me the silver moon high
Forever my love shines in night’s jeweled sky.

“I told you everything
Opened up and let you in
You made me feel alright for once in my life”
(Quoted lines from Behind those hazel eyes by Kelly Clarkson)
In the scorched existence, listless and inert
When I turn into a dry lake in the desert
You bring the soothing rains of bliss
Make within me a sparkling oasis.

“All alone am I ever since your goodbye
All alone with just the beat of my heart”
(Quoted lines from All alone am I by Brenda Lee)
Wandering lost in the vale of desolation
I search for the missing passion
In the abandoned channel meandering
You flow the torrent of your yearning
Make a cascading river of desire in me surge
Flowing joyfully to the rapturous sea.

“It was hard for me to see when
When your love was blindin' me
But now, I know I have to let you go your separate way”
(Quoted lines from Learn the hard way by Brandy Norwood)
In the burnt garden in summer of despair
When I appear as a wilting bud I feel you’d care
Bring rains and drench me again in love shower
Make me blossom for you as a radiant flower.

(The lines from the mentioned songs of the named singers
are within quotation.)
