You Lied To Me

You got me close just to rip me apart
You didn’t care that you messed with my heart
Betrayed me in ways that only evil could do,
You didn’t care as long as it satisfied you.

You let me build up all the love and trust,
So I felt putting you first was definitely a must.
I gave up everything to make you mine,
I didn’t have a clue what I was about to find.

I met you online over a year ago,
Everything seemed perfect because I didn’t know.
That you were lying to me all along,
You weren’t who you said you were, I got it all wrong.

Older, different, illegal crime
Why couldn’t I see this, after all that time?
Everything I did and everything I said,
Then everything you said.. None of it was meant..

Just an act to lead me astray,
Just all staged to get your own way.
