You Lied

With tears in my eyes
I came to you
But you lied
You looked straight at me
You said it wasn't true
That lady was lying to me
Isn't that what you said?
That you'd always be true
Who was that girl who answered?
All the while you kept me at home.
You said you wanted a wife kept
Safely at home
I trusted in your words
Evan though I really always knew
That you were a playboy
That you would never be true!

YES, honesty is the best policy no doubt. We need it in order to make decisions and to know where we're at. You now must have much better radar!!

Same guy? It's interesting how some things can affect us and we write about them again and again. Many of my romantic poems are about the same person from long ago. well, I should get to bed now. thanks so much for reading so many of my poems. Luv, Andrea

This is simple to read and understand, so it has no problem in conveying its message.
