You Left Me - Black Country Communion When the Morning Comes Inspired

Why did you leave me
Alone under the stars
They twinkle and laugh at me

We were the best couple
Did everything together
Now I'm alone, so alone

There are scars on my heart
Deep and painful
Even breathing hurts

I'll let the river take me away
Only to be found by a passerby
Knowing I was left behind

Come back to me please
Save me, be my Jesus
Religion has too abandoned me

A hug could do so much
Your arms, a fresh embrace
Please don't let time defeat my soul
