You Just Can't Win

Another loss for my favorite team
The season just isn’t picking up steam
First it’s poor defense, then listless offense
Sloppy fundamentals make us fans scream

I don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel
or a pot of gold at rainbow’s edge
So I think I’ll go golfing at an easy par-three ~
Just hit three balls in the lake with my old trusty wedge

I was once told that I was the only one they knew who could use a golf club as a dowsing rod

Witty penning, Gershon. My late husband was a UNC Tarheels men's basketball fan. He was really devoted. When they won NCAA National Championships he was such a happy fan. But, when they went through slumps, he'd be in a little bit of a slump too. I know how you feel, but golf is a good distraction. :))))))

Your husband must have been a 'Dean Smith' man. Great coach, he was.

Miss those days when my husband would watch almost every sport and his actions was hilarious. You would think he was there at each game even though he was sitting in his recliner. I'm not a sport person. Enjoyed reading and bring back memories.

More fun to watch the TV viewer watching the sport than it is to watch the game itself!! It's true! ~ Gershon
