You Just Cant See It Through

I got your card and the flowers today
I guess you’re going to try this one more time
After all the pain you put me through
There’s not enough roses to change my mind

The promises you made and broke
Our love hasn’t meant a thing
The white house that you promised me
Just a thought from your childhood dreams

While I’m dying inside
All you do is deny

What’s a girl supposed to do?

I gave you my all
And you let me fall
My pride and heart are broken into

I gave you my love
And you said you loved me too

You like the thought of loving me,
But you just can’t see it through

I’m packing up all your promises
And all the broken memories of our past
It’s funny how the good life goes
Scary - how long the bad times last

I’ve been hearing you’re trying to reach me
You should save that for someone new
I’ve lost all hope of you ever loving me
I know it’s something – you just can’t do

While I’m dying inside
All you do is deny

What’s a girl supposed to do?

I gave you my all
And you let me fall
My pride and heart are broken into

I gave you my love –
And you said you loved me too

You like the thought of loving me,
But you just can’t see it through

You like the thought of loving me,
But you just can’t see it through

Seems like you have some good lyrics for a song here Kelly, Bill

Thanks Bill, I read through many of yours as well. Good stuff! You might find it interesting to read Forgive me Father. Its definitely the juxtaposition of your writings. Its nice that we can enjoy the work without judgment. Thanks again, Kelly
