You Hold The Key
I was a fool, deceived, my trust misplaced,
Believed in sharing what you gave with grace,
It was fragile and now left disgraced,
And with it broken, I have no one to embrace.
I cannot fall asleep,
For sleep evades,
And this pain thrives in these restless night,
You understand?, definitely,
For you can comprehend this plight.
I have sinned countless times,
And yet I always find my way back,
Feet upon this mat, remorse in my heart,
Will I be forgiven?,
Guide my broken heart, peace to restore.
Theirs a lot I wish to speak,
Yet I have forgotten,
Forgotten the voice I once was so eager to keep,
Embarrassed, I once again find myself lost without peace.
I cannot speak yet I know,
Know that you are the master of this heart,
In silence, you hold the key,
To mend what is broken, to give hope to my soul.
