You Have This Effect On Me, You See...

Blew through the moment with yearning devotion
like a reader impatient to know the book's end.
Swept up emotions despite the commotion
of farewell to novelty's friends.
Mind, blanket-weaving of memories receiving
stitched with the threads of your voice,
warm me through winter and keep me believing
my footsteps are set by my choice.
Always electric, never receptive
to negative comments and pain.
Slow me to running, leave me eclectic
and kiss me with your words again...
