You Have Felt Me

You said my name
You saw my soul
You let me hold your heart with my unsure hands
Brought tears to my eyes
Without words
You have felt me

I walked with You
After many long years away
I asked You "Why now"
"How do I know what is real
Your answer was simple
Giving sound to deaf ears
"You have felt Me"

"I've always been here
I've cried each of your tears
Held each of your children
Heard your voice in the dark
Til I knew for sure
You have felt me"

"I am giving you a gift
Most precious in life
For the hard lessons you've learned
With faith you have shown
In your darkest corner I knew
You have felt me"

So as I rest my head on your shoulder
Inhale our embrace
I am doubly warmed
Arms stronger and surer than ours
Are holding us still
And a sweet voice whispers
"You have felt me"
