You Had Me Believing

When I lie awake,
I think of what we had,
(or what I thought).
Wishing and hoping,
I didn't know it was so bad.

We would walk
And kiss;
But I was wrong to think
That it was bliss.

I thought
We had it all worked out;
You had me beliveving,
Way beyond a shadow
Of a doubt.
But when it comes down
To the wee, wee hours,
I learned what you're about.
