You Had Me at Goodbye

You had me at goodbye, not hello A goodbye signifies the end of the day when the sun sweeps her golden skirt behind the mountains with a last glance before exiting the red sky darkening like a scab to welcome the gorgeous moon who's more serene than the sun to guide the slumberous night You'll never catch me at hello which carries the weight of my lids as I open my eyes to the sunrise the day's chores awaiting me I will roll your name on my tongue but always more gladly at goodbye than hello
