You Gave Me Rest
You calm my heart with reason,
You soothed my aching heart,
With words of wisdom to live by,
Where it ends, and where it starts,
You make me look in the mirror to see myself again,
And remind me of the beauty in everything God sends,
The peace of your words wash over me,
They push unwanted feelings away,
Thank you for your love, you gave me rest today.
