You Gave Me a Lot To Remember

I think I'd rather tell myself that you never loved me at all, Because it's easier to accept that you did but one day just stopped, You just left, Walked away like it was nothing, like we were nothing, like I was nothing, Your love just ran out, Deep down though I know mine did too, But the reason I held on, was because I was afraid something as good as this wouldn’t happen twice, And I think I will look for you in every lifetime, Until you finally stay, I think if you knew how much you mattered to me, You would’ve stayed with me forever out of pity, I would’ve been living a lie, One where I would give the whole world to you, Only to get not even a city back Missing you comes in waves, And tonight I’m drowning, My tears add the mass of water I am struggling to breathe in, Our memories are on repeat in my head, My pillows are mascara-stained and tear-soaked, I...miss you, And I need to let go, But It's hard to forget someone, Who's given you so much to remember
