You Encompass Me With Life
like dew on a rose
you encompass me with life-
thirsty for your touch
you satisfy my hunger
long to be near you always
like tides on a beach
you surface me with passion-
pebbles call your name
relief is found when you're near
quench me like droughts in July
like time's sweet hourglass
you drain my heart with desire-
timepiece of fervor
all things splendid come from you
you've become my sand's footprint
