You Dont Need Money To Be Happy
One thing that I find quite funny
the importance people place on money
In my life the best moments
came overcoming opponents
I’m at my happiest when I achieve
and you never forget those memories
Improve your body improve your mind
and those insecurities will decline
becoming good at something you do
brings confidence and meaning too
when love is true and friends are real
there is no price on the way you feel
money pays for things you’re around
but only within you is happiness found
owning items and spending pennies
brings happiness that quickly empties
when you purchase your pride and joy
all you own is a superficial decoy
a sense of humour a positive mindset
for strength of mind begin upset
if you find a sense of who you are
the feeling found goes on so far
admitting your wrong will make you right
to do that you must swallow pride
no one’s so intelligent they always know
if you act like you do in time it’ll show
if you only accept what you want to hear
it’ll inflate your ego and shrink your fear
but that false sense of accomplishment
ends shortly and you won’t feel different
and you’ll just repeat that loop again
when it wears off you’ll feel the same
you’ll never escape and always fear
you think you win but it disappears
you need to actually work on you
commit and focus to feel improved
worth you find will change your mood
change your perspective and attitude
Ignoring criticism because you’re insulted
seeking revenge is what the end result is
your emotional needs control your logic
protecting needs makes them skyrocket
never overcome them you’ll never change
getting petty victories but looking strange
you’re so proud you’re so very weak
and stand out as a total freak
when avoidance of blame is the game
the hate they have for you will gain
if you always claim it wasn’t you
keeping friends is hard to do
if you cannot admit you’re wrong
you won’t have friends they’ll all be gone
and if you never accept responsibility
you’ll be someone no one wants to see
What you think and feel is born inside
where emotions live all your life
they don’t need money
they don’t need lies
true achievements are the ultimate prize
accomplishments grow your pride
the feeling’s real and stays for life
The one thing I have realised
purchases bring shallow highs
when people say the best things in life are free
it means what you feel within doesn’t cost money
