You light the morning
With a sunrise
Sending joy
Into our lives
You light the night
With moonlight
Sending stars
To twinkle with life
You wake the seasons
With new life
Sending miracles
Born of faith
You whisper love
To the heart
With Jesus’ teachings
From His word
You send us everything
All mercy and grace
Feelings of tenderness
Beyond measure
You send love so sweet
We live in pure pleasure
Love that sends intimacy
To those who share the treasure
Of knowing you intimately
You breath life
Through your word
Reawaken hearts
Who have been hurt
You fight for the ones
Who demons pursue
Create a sense of joy
Where blindness withstood
You create a world
Where goodness lives
Despite all the hate
That the devil spins
You make it safe
To worship and praise
Your wonderous Son
The one who died
And rose again
Making us capable
Of living forever
