You Didn'T Tell Me

You didn't tell me
                                         about that first time
                                       how after that moment
                                      our world would combine.
                                        We spoke of marriage
                                        the moment we'd met
                                         breathing your air in
                                     being brought to my knees.
                                Hovering in through your doorway
                                        staring into your eyes
                                        wanting you to tell me
that you love me until love dies.
