You Changed My Life

Peering through the window chaos but in my heart calmness,
Walking through a crowded hall in the atmosphere I felt this,
For years trained in battle holding my composure,
I thanked the Lord he trained my heart for the occupation I was about to encounter,
There were times reactions failed but they were meant to be,
For if I never fell to the ground my eyes would never see,
The value of love stilled my heart with patience to truly know,
To stop assumptions from breaking me down and allowed my heart to grow,
Through many tears and trials I never gave up the fight,
I loved the hearts that taught me because it changed my llife.
