You Can'T Tie Me Down

In spite of any deformities or disabilities I know that the Lord Our God is watching over me And the more I realize who I was meant to be The more I try to hide behind my inabilities You can't tie me down I now comprehend That God is only looking at the heart that lays within I no longer fall prey to those false accusations That I'm only a product of my environmental situation You can't tie me down for I am not my mother I'm a child of God like no other You can't tie me down so don't use my neighbourhood To define me as someone who is not any good Now bold enough to tell the world you can't steal my joy And not allowing the insecure to use words that can destroy Breaking down cycles of generational guilt and shame Now free to function in Jesus the Christ name You can't use an IPhone if you're stuck on a pager mentality You're a child of the living God so go claim your victory You can't tie me down for through Christ I've been set free Like that untamed colt that Jesus rode towards His destiny Now I comprehend that God has a master plan And I may be in a hold pattern until He moves His hands For God has something in store for me and I need to learn to wait It might be uncomfortable and it might seem too late But i just can't lose my faith nor do I need to know the reason That God will move me when it's my season And if someone is envious of your blessings and status with Christ Tell them to get over themselves and go get a life God will untie and unbind you from whatever is holding you down He will put His plan in action to elevate you to higher ground So don't worry about the naysayers, the haters and the critics Keep your eyes on God by walking in the Spirit You can't tie me down for through Christ I now clearly see That God has a great plan for my destiny You can't tie me down
