You Can Rest Here
Let me hold your hand, I’ll walk with you.
I may not know what you’ve been through,
But I can hold your hand and walk with you.
I can sit with you if you don’t want to stand.
I can listen, even if I don’t understand.
We can sit together, until you’re ready to stand.
I can be here for you, if you let me.
You can do what you need to do, safely.
I can be here for you; judgement free if you let me.
If you need a place to rest your head,
I have a pillow, a shoulder, you can use my bed.
You can rest here, you can lay down your head.
Whatever I can do during your time of need,
I will do it, you’ve got a friend here; guaranteed.
If I can, I will. Just let me know what you need.
