You Can Begin

who knows what life we will have
our plans
never matter
a plan might keeps us sane and sometimes
employed
but life throws huge fat muddy surprises
things we could not have imagined
will come our way
a man, a decision, a way of life, a child
dark headed, dark minded
patience is something you learn to grow
and quickly lose your expectations
when you finally surrender to the now
you can begin
