you built me a lighthouse
i swim through the water with ink on my lips
just waiting for a woman like you
you built me a lighthouse, you guide all the sailors
you keep them away from my home
then, when you find me, with my sweetened song,
i tell you that i haven't fed
you claim it's ok, and so i just kiss you
i know i couldn't see you drown
you watch from the lighthouse, i wither away
'till i find an unfortunate crew
you built me a lighthouse, to keep me in check
you starved me to the bone
