You Broke My Heart Once

You tore out my heart
And that wasn’t smart
I got over you
And now you’ve returned out of the blue
What do you expect me to say..
That it’s ok?
Doesn’t matter that I chose to remain single
Enjoy my life and occasionally mingle
You dumped me, got married and now you want out
Why come back to me, what’s that about?
When you got in touch
It was too much
My memories of us, stirs up feelings of the past
We didn’t last
Best leave it at that
I’m not your doormat
At my age
I'm all out of rage
But now I'm wise
I can see through your lies

Quite an expressive slam delivered in style, Brigitte! Glad you're now wise enough to see through him. Regards // paul
