You Are Woman
When life cuts you into dashes and dots
Pick up a pen; use it as eagerly as you could a sword
Show and share your truth
You are a woman, it is what you do
When people are unkind, turn away from their bullying
Wipe your feet on their hate, use their prejudice as a propeller
Cut through the water of anger and rage
Use your hurt to become a better woman
When men are laughing, refuse to hear it
Never let them know it has hurt you
Dance, sing, frolic.
Throw your soul into the air with butterflies and dragonflies.
Live your truth.
You are woman.
Let us hear your roar.
