You Are With Me

Without you I feel things differently
No longer my lonely content
My self-satisfied substance
Now it seems vacuous, blank.

Without you, I cannot imagine
That I have not changed
A new globe of enchantment
Now possesses me.

Without you, I cannot tolerate
The absence of your smile
Your gentle words
Your wisdom

Without you, I'm drifting
Past desolate shores
Suffering these thoughts
Without you

Well put. I really like how you start each strophe with "Without you" but then change the rest of the line to keep the poem moving. ~Jan
