Listen to poem:

You Are Responsible

Amid the devilment your dimples devise,
your smile is a mile of wonderful lies.
Your eyes hypnotize, and your silences speak
volumes of verses to someone as weak
as the wreck that I am,
since, meek as a lamb,
I was caught by your charm,
doing myself irreparable harm
to my centers of logic and cool calculation.
You are responsible: I demand reparation.

Thank you for reading and leaving a comment on my poem. I like how you use your words and I like how I can apply this to so many things in life. Whichever way I apply, I can really relate to this poem. The words also run smoothly, which I think is an excellent quality in a good poem.

Hi Leo. Thanks for the visit. I like this . First time that I read I felt sad that you were slighted in love. Second time I associated it to Politicians. Third time, the church. So much said in so little words. The sign of a good write. great piece, Eamon
