We the People are the ones in charge but only if we accept the responsibility
You are Our Representatives
(To any elected government position)

You are our representatives
We the people run this land
The Constitution makes it so
What don't you understand?
Voted you in and put you there
You wear a collar, not a ring
To be guided by the people's needs,
You're not a despot, queen or king
Were sworn in to take the seat
To listen to your country's call
Not there for just your party
But for the people, one and all
If money bought the seat you're in
And were ensconced there as a bribe
You're not there for all the people
You're not a member of the tribe
If you block what makes good sense to us
To make you richer when you're gone
We're watching you and what you do
In this game you're just a pawn
Internet technology
Has changed what you can be
Can't hide from us the things you do
What you do we all can see
Doesn't take a month or two
Most the time less than an hour
We know what you have said and done
You need our votes to keep your power
Don't say and do those foolish things
We see them on our phones as news
We pay nothing extra
To see your actions and your views
Election time is coming
All us voters have a say
We'll remember what you've said and done
When we attend the polls that day
