You Are Not Nice
I can see that smile, even from a mile
Back there for a while, I thought you were real
But now I’ve seen all your colors
And read the thoughts hidden between the lines
Where that smile used to make me happy
And make my heart race like a new puppy
Now I cringe when towards me you turn
Because you look at me like the next meal in line
The light burning behind those eyes
Used to give me peace and joy those sleepless days
But now I do not know! Is the color green?
Or is it love? like it’s always been?
The fire inside your heart is it light or is it dark?
Does it sparkle or roar with rage?
That heart inside your chest is it gold or is it soot?
I know one thing for sure, you are not nice is exactly it.
