You Are My Mountain
You are my mountain.
Beautiful and untouched.
Quiet and alone.
Populated, yet remote.
I have walked near your boundaries
in search of wildflowers.
I have climbed your slopes,
seeking adventure, wild and free.
I have bathed in your streams
with no fear.
Your unspeakable beauty
made my journey
toward your heights
my greatest treasure.
You are the heartbeat of this universe
I cannot possess,
for who can encompass strata
so vast, it reaches down
to the depths of the earth?
