You Are My Light
I’ll walk for my journey has long begun
I’ll walk for I don’t know where to return
I’ll walk through the night to the colored dawn
I’ll walk through the mist to promised horizon.
You’ll wait for me in the shadow of the cloud
You’ll wait for me until I come out of shroud
You’ll wait until my ordained journey ends
You’ll wait for me until I hold your hands.
I’ll sail for I need to reach the safe shore
I’ll sail over heaving waves even if they soar
I’ll sail through the tempest to the serene sea
I’ll sail under dark sky pole star not with me.
You’ll stand on the shore like high rocky cliff
You’ll stand to see me float like a tiny leaf
You’ll stand with a beacon in your heart
You’ll stand until I reach you not to depart.
Whatever happens I’ll reach the dawn beyond the night
For I know I won’t ever be out of your protective sight
The sky may fall I’ll reach the shore from waves’ height
For I know you’re my light.
