You Are My Goat

You are my Goat

What’s got my goat?
So often demanded of me.

Why it’s you,
can’t you blind now see?
You must let me be.

“Why?”…
Again, ask no more than three
insistent unrelenting of me.

For I shall answer most blatant
Ask no more, become complacent.

 Your lack of
insight,
compassion ,
and integrity.

But most of all
Your
 lies to
Me .

Catherine, what a clever entry for the "Got Your Goat" contest! The title certainly caught my attention, and you delivered! Well done. And thanks for your thoughts on "Uncle Sam's Sticky Fingers." Sometimes when I watch the news, I just want to scream. And the only time I actually do scream is when I watch football. Best wishes, Carolyn

Catherine I can certainly relate to this poem (In the past) and it really does suck to be lied to - God Bless, MJ
