YOU ARE MY FLOWER
You are a flower watered by pure desire
Of a young heart so deep in love
A red rose in the sun, you are my flower.
I know you are a flower ready to blossom
Gracefully dancing away in the wind of autumn
I know you are my flower never to whither
You are a flower that calms in times of troubled storms
You are the flower in my song that leaves a scent upon my lips
You are a flower that I smell, taste and live with the scent all day.
I see you a flower, not because of your beauty
You are my flower,not because of the smile you carry;
You forever be my flower, not because the sun shines upon your lips.
Even if your face was to look sunken and sad,
Even if your beauty was to be lost with the passage of age,
Even if the weather was to change and it becomes chilly:
As I step out of the frozen embers
With a soft voice in the distant would be a flicker
Under a canopy at the porch with humming bubbles.
With adolescent naivety of a newly deflowered childhood
Life will be lively and days cherished more lovely
With a flower blossoming on my front lawn.
A flower on the lapel of a priestly robe you are
Herbal concoctions to bind up a heart crying for love
The oven of warmth in which is baked a dose for my stupor.
