You Are My Constant

Remembering the day
You took me out of the constant pain
Leading me into a constant place
Of contentment and joy
A place where even when it was hard
I still knew you were by my side
Which made me smile

And now my memory is fading
Trying to remember when that all disappeared
Now living back in that same place
Where you found me
A life of consistency is what you’ve given me
The pain is tenacious
Never giving up
Always ready for the next tear

You are my constant
You are my fear
You are my pain
