You Are In His Grace
A bond that was so tight has for now been broken
Remembering through the night every word ever spoken
Where once shined a great light now is a heart that is broke
As even in these words I write I hear every word you spoke
It will not leave me alone this deep feeling of grief
For I miss all of that light that you had always shone
Just wanting to quit and just meet you there
But in your spirit I will admit that that wouldn't be fair
I simply can't comprehend what I will do
How will I ever mend in losing you
Every thought in my mind and all the words that I sought
It's you that I find and all the joy that you brought
But a part of me so deep down inside
Has set me free from all those tears I cried
In remembering all those days and seeing your smiling face
I know of God's ways and know you are now in His Grace
