You Are In Chains In My Heart
(part 2 of Young Lovers Once Alone)
Ch. In my heart, you are in chains
In my heart, I loved you
I had the hearts for you…though I didn’t have the brains
For I was young when I loved you…
Weeping tears of rue (for you…for you)
You were too…so young and blue…
We’re both sick with the infatuation flu…and we’re both missing a shoe
V.3: My heart’s melody intertwined with your own
Our heart’s were beating as one
My soul was interlocked with your own…I was all alone
Before I met you…before the break of dawn
We’re on our own, but not alone
We’re not insecure…we’re well-built and God’s our backbone
Ch. In my heart, you are in chains
In my heart, I loved you
I had the hearts for you…though I didn’t have the brains
For I was young when I loved you…
Weeping tears of rue (for you…for you)
You were too…so young and blue…
Can’t you see you were meant for me & you were meant to be with me…please,
stay by my side and let the blessed breeze blow on – there’s more joy in store
and more!
V.4: I felt this horrid melancholy deep inside of me!
We’re both sick with the infatuation flu…we’re left to solve this mystery without
any clues – it’s no use…we both fell for each other foolishly!
Can’t you see you were meant for me & meant to be
A part of my crew? I love you immensely in the past, present and future – in
other words, I had the hearts for you eternally, not temporarily!
We’re one fine pair…aren’t we?
Tell me darling – that’s my only plea
Before I met you…before the break of dawn
We’re on our own, but not alone
We’re not insecure…we’re well-built and God’s our backbone
