You Are As Young As You Feel
They say you’re only as young as you feel
And I say, that can’t be right, can’t be real
I may think like a person twenty-three
But walk like a person with a bad knee!
When I was young I slept like a baby
Now sleep thru the night, well only maybe
My spine was once as straight as a tall tree
Now standing up straight is a chore for me!
I’ll avoid all mirrors when possible
My insides are good, outside horrible
I try hard to look as young as I think
When others see that, I’m met with a wink!
This trying to look young is only an act
I am what I am, and that is a fact!
