You Are a Super Hero

You are a super hero

Affectionate, witty and brilliant,
Joys and humour much rampant,
Muscular and macho for the bad,
You are a super hero my dear dad !

Deeply disguised one day as I sat,
You read my face and gave me a pat,
Courage to beat the rogues at the pool,
Else I would have been proved a fool,

Remember the day at school I excelled,
You were teary eyed, with joy so dwelled,
Never to forget your hugs and embrace,
Sparkle in your eyes and heavenly grace,

Days of picnics, fun and frolic are alive,
Swimming at resort and that deep dive,
Rock climbing and the river rafting,
Hospital bed and the bone grafting,

Taught me that life is a lemonade,
World is worth living with truth and trait,
Help the needy, believe in hard work not fate,
You are a super hero, dad you are truly great!

What a beautiful tribute you have given to father. Great write Dr. Upma. The love, affection and guidance which one gets from its parents have no parallel in the world. Such loving and caring parents always remain the most precious treasure for those who really love their parents. My good wishes for your contest entry and thank you for your kind words on my Epic love story. ...Ravindra K Kapoor
