You and Me

**********************************************************************

Turn and turn again atop a shallow bed of rocks; still

Lingering amid the mist these thoughts left dangling

As an autumns flower upon a virgins branch within winters

Silence waiting; to be awaken afore the frost takes its bite....

Icicles like thorns to pierce the hearts; cold as this may seem

When hopes die and dreams bleed; petals, falling from the sky!?

Like the dream that hastens away, like the reality that never was that brings the pain that makes us grow. A lingering sadness in this John - so nice to read.

This is how so many relationships are....things left unsaid (thoughts left dangling) become this source of contention and pain (frost takes its bite). I don't know if that's how you meant this but that's what your poem meant to me when I read it. It was really lovely.

Ah! Love and pain, so intertwined..always yin and yang, yet, love is all and forever will be, John. Hope my friend is doing fine. Thought about you when I heard of those Santa Anna winds, however, I don't believe your "hood" was affected. Stay cool..Love, Annalise

Has that lonely feeling fall brings to the edge of winter John. Great imagination in this.
