You and Me
You told me you loved me
then why did you leave me?
you told me whenever i needed a friend
you'd always be there for me through hardships and despair
then why aren't you here?
you were in my future
but now you're in my past
i guess long-distant relationships, never really last.
i told you i ccared about you, i even cried for hours over you
i wanted to have a fresh new start
but now i can't be so sure anymore
why must we be so far apart?
i want you to know that i miss you
but the question is do you miss me too?
i thought that we would be together forever
but i knew we had to end it, it was either now or never
did my letters mean anything to you?
they probably did but now we're through.
i didn't want to lose you
i only knew that i didnt want to
but i had too.
i have given up all hope
there is no turning back
because all that we are
is in each others past.
you meant the world to me
you even taught me how to care
but that was so long ago it seems
i know that's not fair
you are the air that i breathe
but it's the air i don't want to share.
we are forever apart
but always remember, you're still number one at the top of my chart.
now that we are over '
i really wish we werent
i want you to know that deep in my heart
you'll always be my four-leaf clover.
i am still in love with you
but what happened to the you in the you and me?
my heart can and can't be free anylonger
my love for you will never evaporate
but we know that we can start again
but by then it will probably be too late.
my heart is at stake.
i guess this is how things were meant to be
me without you and you without me.
so I am still heartbroken and missing you times three.
