You and Me
With an understanding heart and a sympathetic ear;
You make me have no reason to fear-
That your wonderfully, gentle style,
To my face, won't always bring a smile.
For with: the touch of your hand;
the sound of your voice;
the realness of your love;
You make me rejoice.
You make me so happy and that is as it should be-
Because even though we are two distinct individuals,
We are one------------------you and me.
